Below: the only acceptably detailed product review that exists for any service whatsoever in this ~2 billion dollars/year industry. What the hell, guys.
Better than you'd think! Though it's not actually about meeting a partner AS SUCH and more about:
(1) It's a mixed-gender hobby where you're interacting with a whole bunch of opposite-sex partners, and will naturally make opposite-sex friends.
(2) it lets you show-off in a very natural way as you improve.
(3) you can buy skill with time and money (lessons).
(4) dancing enmeshes you in a community of other people who ALSO dance (common interest!), and meeting compatible partners through shared community is actually a thing that happens regularly. I know couples who met via dance.
(5) Dance doesn't start off as intrinsically rewarding-- beginner hell is REAL-- but it becomes rewarding with time as one improves.
(6) Girls on dating apps love "men who dance" as a class.
I think "learn to dance" was the best piece of lifestyle advice I got from the program; it's a hugely rewarding part of my life these days.
oh, regarding martial arts, I haven't actually tried that one; I considered it but felt warned off by a friend who did jujitsu that got a gnarly knee injury which kept him off his feet for more than a month. Seemed bad for my dance aspirations.
Hah! The answer is two parts: first, I found a studio that runs a 2-3 hours of intro group classes for salsa and bachata four days a week, and supplemented those with private lessons + solo practice + dance socials. I write a bit more about getting started in dancing here: https://lifeimprovementschemes.substack.com/p/partner-dancing-is-hard-but-also
The second part of the answer is "I was unemployed at the time" lol
Anyway, I don't think 15 hours a week is necessary to get started by any means, I was just doing that because at the time I was feeling frustrated at having failed in all my previous attempts to get into dance, and decided that this time I would go AS HARD AS POSSIBLE.
Dancing, huh? You didn't feel like the odds of you meeting a compatible woman through dancing were low?

In this context, what are the benefits of taking up a martial art vs taking up dancing?
Also out of curiosity, how the hell did you find a) enough time, b) enough classes or whatever to add up to fifteen hours a week?
